new gear

really, honestly i dont get why our gear is soo expensive? totally understand quality, reliability, durability and performance.  also the triathlon market is way smaller then say, tennis. but still i think gear we buy is over priced, i'm researching now hopefully its possible to bring a high quality product to consumers at a retail price half to two thirds of today's cost.  i will need some help from anyone that can provide advice.

hey if it doesn't work, i'll just keep training and log my research.

What are your garments made out of? What are the features and benefits? What price point are you thinking of?

hi thanks for posting, benefits should be lower retail price, 39 49 versus 89, looks radical gets attention versus booooring, high quality, light weight, fast drying, thin, comfortable. ill send you some samples :)

training today i get my ass kicked, more L8R

Lower retail is not necessarily a benefit. For instance I will pay $60 for a compression sock that offer "true" graduated compression and will last vs a $30 sock that doesn't do as it advertises. I work for a full msrp retailer. We don't discount. That being said - you get what you pay for. We sell $150 cycling jerseys. The fabrics that go into these jerseys are high quality. You'd never seen a jersey composed of the same fabric anywhere for $40.

Constructive feedback - your kit JUST has your logo. There is nothing super impressive about that. If you want an attractive attention getting piece go with a wild print. Logo's are over rated - unless you've been around the block for a decade or so.

thank you soooo much, hmmmm i have a lot to learn like quality is justified by cost of merchandise

i will try and do a better job then just a logo although i think n8 soul kicks ass, i agree the print kills i like the skulls on the tyr.

i was at onetri today and got my zoot running shoes, onetri just picked up the entire skin line.

why are you home on sat night at 9:42 girly? 1mi ocean swim tomorrow 8am, ugh

Zoot - great bang for the buck
Skins - not worth the time or effort

Sat. - eh....I needed to have one low key night to hammer out a solid workout today :).

Enjoy your ocean swim! I'm jealous. Our ocean is like and f***in ice bath!
